UNCERTAINTY THEORY. Mechanic Form.
IMPORTANT:
Include units and errors in all measurements and calculations.
In every plot: name the axis and their units, and plot experimental data points
with error bars.
Least-squares fits will be drawn on the same graph as experimental data.
Note.
It is ESSENTIAL to have accomplished a careful study of the theoretical guide.
1. Direct Measure. Precision Uncertainty. Random error
Let a steal disk have a diameter of d= 69.9 mm and a thickness of t= 6.1 mm. d and t have
been measured using a millimeter ruler with precision error ep= 0.1 mm. We have made the
following measurement of the mass m of the disk, using a digital balance, with precision error
ep=0.01g:
m 0.01 (g)
195.92 195.91
195.89 195.93
195.92 195.88
195.94 195.89
195.92 195.92
